short description:

Suction catheter for sucking mucus and other fluids from the tracheobronchial area of a patient, has a flexible tube with at least one through lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end. A thickened area is provided adjacent to the distal end in the form of a cylindrical portion for promoting guidance of the catheter in the tracheobronchial area of a patient. In addition, the lumen is provided with a funnel-shaped enlarged outlet.
